Amazon Luna is Now Rival With Some Major Games

The game streaming world had another competitor, this time from Amazon called Amazon Luna. This new service is for built-in streaming gamer like Google Stadia and Nvidia GeForce Now, other services that allow you to play games directly from instances without having to download it in advance.

Amazon Luna works like Prime Video because there are channels you can subscribe to. The key point at the moment is Luna Plus (we’ll explain below), which means you don’t need to buy individual games – which also provides some additional benefits.

You can buy the Amazon Luna controller for gaming and it costs $49.99, but you can also use a PS4 or Xbox One controller or a keyboard and mouse.

The entire service is currently only available through early access for US players, so I hope the service will launch elsewhere over time, I don’t know the international prices. If you live in the United States, you can request an invitation through Luna’s website.

You can play Amazon Luna with Amazon items like Fire TV and different gadgets like your cell phone, Mac, or PC. Because Amazon is trying to keep the product family running consistently, it’s possible that other Amazon devices, such as Fire Tab HD tablets, are also compatible.

Some games approved for Amazon Luna include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Control, Two Point Hospital, Sonic Mania Plus, and Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair. These are just a few of the games Amazon has approved for the service, but the company has confirmed that there will be more than 100 in total, which is slightly more than it had at the stadium’s launch.

New games such as Valhalla, Immortals: Fenyx Rising and Far Cry 6 will be available on Amazon Luna as soon as they are released, as Ubisoft has an Amazon Luna channel for its games.

The game streaming market is getting crowded fast, but it’s hard not to get excited about the cloud game – if it works well (look at you, Stadia). I’m interested in taking our hands to Amazon Luna (good, figurative hands) and seeing how it is played.

Amazon Luna Plus

There is a separate subscription service called Luna Plus, named by Amazon Luna – as mentioned above, this is a channel where you can purchase access from the Luna ‘standard’. It allows you to access a game library, but has some additional advantages, such as 4K/60fps games and the ability to play on two devices at once.

The service will cost $5.99 per month and will run on PC, Mac and Fire TV Stick – it also works on iPhones and iPads, but not yet on Android phones. You need a controller to play, so the costs of this service can rise rapidly at the out start.

Many services are accessible during early access: built-in Evil 7, Control, The Surge 2, Iconoclasts, and GRID, with a total number of more than 100.

Amazon is searching for Luna Plus Luna’s first official channel, giving the impression that there could be more.
